The statement was published on the official website of the U.S. State Department on Monday, June 30, highlighting the key points of the diplomatic exchange.
According to the release, Secretary Rubio reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to strengthening its economic partnership with Bangladesh and emphasized the shared objective of promoting security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. The discussion reflected both nations’ mutual desire to deepen bilateral relations.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Press Secretary of the Interim Government, Shafiqul Alam, posted about the call on his verified Facebook account. According to the post, the conversation took place at 7:30 PM local time and lasted approximately 15 minutes.
Shafiqul Alam described the exchange as “warm, cordial, and fruitful,” underscoring that the discussion was a testament to the strong diplomatic ties between the United States and Bangladesh.
